Kelly Clarkson, an American artist, actress and singer who was crowned the American Idol competition in its debut season, grew into a national favorite. The win did more than make her a household name, but brought her an agreement for several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings as along with 'S Recordings. The singer has since released numerous recordings from her studio. 3 of these made the US Billboard 200 chart, however, others narrowly missed the mark. She's among the top artists to are emerging from American Idol. As she achieved success she tried different themes and music styles often creating songs of her personal beliefs. Her work was praised by critics and numerous prestigious awards due to her distinctiveness and singing talent. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. As well as her musical work, she's also appeared on television and in films. She also co-wrote the book for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with a number of charities.
