Kari Samantha, born in 1967 is an American actor, performer and singer (born on April 28, 1967). Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and automobile salesman. Her family has given her three brothers. As a child, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs, and then went on to perform. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. Born in Brookfield on April 28th, 1967. Her father is both an German American policeman and an auto salesman. Kari is the youngest of three kids. As a teenager was a nightclub singer, she would sing while slipping out to perform. At 13 years old, she began her acting career. young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. She then enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with renowned teacher Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was an teen, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
